Yin Yang
Christine from Colorado requested the Chinese characters for “yin yang”…
… yup yup, as in that universally known symbol… *points to picture above*

… where essentially the first character (yin) refers to “feminine” characteristics and the second character (yang) refers to “masculine” characteristics. Yin can also mean “dark” and yang can also refer to “light” or the “sun.”
Also FYI, the “a” in “yang” is pronounced similar to “a” in “father” NOT like “a” in “bang”… this is true for ANY “a” sound, such as found in the common Chinese last names “Wang” and “Yang.”
