Kimberly from Michigan requested the Chinese translation for “independent” as in “independent entrepreneur”…  as in –> no longer working for da man…  as in –> I’m free, FREE, FREE!…  muahahaha…  *cocked eyebrow*…  followed by…  *devious grin*

…  where essentially the first character means “by yourself” and the second character means “to stand up.”  So loosely, “to stand up by yourself.”
