Jay from Canada (!) requested the Chinese characters for “Aikido” as in “I can kick yer butt using Aikido”…  *assumes Aikido stance*…  bring.  it.  on.

…  where essentially the first character means “to unite” or “to combine,” the second character insinuates “energy” or “spirit,” and the third character means “a way” or “method.”  So loosely, it translates as “the way of unified energy.”
