Trish from New Jersey also requested the Chinese translation for “pure soul” as in “divine love, unutterable and perfect, flows into a pure soul the way light rushes into a transparent object”…  Hemingway in da HOUSE!…  (actually, that one’s by Dante).

…  where essentially the first character means “pure,” the second character means “heart,” and the third character means “soul.”  The second and third characters together means “mind” or “spirit.”
