Karen from Ireland (!) requested the Chinese translation for “dove” as “How come the dove gets to be the peace symbol?  How about the pillow?  It has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn’t have that dangerous beak”…  Jack Handey, Saturday Night Live…  lol.

…  where essentially the first character means “dove” or “pigeon” and the second character is one of those characters that needs to be paired up with other characters for it to have meaning.  It really has no meaning in this context, but can insinuate “child” in others.
